Privacy Policy

Skinsei ("we", "us") is a skincare app for men that analyzes photos of your skin and builds a personalized routine. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: your data is used only to run the product for you — we don't sell it and we don't use it for advertising.

What we collect

• Account data. Your email address (or the identifier provided by Sign in with Apple, including Apple's private relay email if you choose to hide yours).
• Skin scan photos. Photos of your face that you choose to take or upload for analysis, and photos of skincare product labels you choose to check.
• Skin analysis results. The scores, metrics and trends produced from your scans, which may relate to the visible condition of your skin.
• Questionnaire answers. Skin type, sensitivity, concerns, listed skin conditions, shaving habits, age range and budget from onboarding.
• Routine & activity data. Your generated routine, completed steps, streaks, skin diary entries and chat messages with Sei, our in-app coach.
• Purchase state. Your subscription status. Payments are processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.

How your data is used

• To analyze your scans and build and adapt your personalized routine.
• To power conversations with Sei that take your skin data into account.
• To send you sign-in codes and essential service emails.
• To operate your subscription and unlock the features you paid for.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

AI processing

Skin analysis, routine generation and the Sei coach are powered by artificial intelligence. To provide these features, your scan photos, questionnaire answers and chat messages are processed on our behalf by vetted third-party AI service providers under contracts that prohibit them from using your data to train their models or for any purpose other than serving your request. Analysis results are informational grooming guidance and are not medical advice or a medical diagnosis.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run Skinsei: secure cloud hosting and databases (Supabase), AI processing (as described above), subscription management (RevenueCat, which receives your app user ID and purchase state from Apple), and transactional email delivery (Resend). Each provider processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.

Storage, security and retention

Your data is stored in access-controlled databases and private storage buckets in the European Union, protected by row-level security so it is only accessible to your authenticated account. Data is retained while your account exists.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your photos, scans, routine, chat history, diary and profile from our systems. Subscriptions are managed by Apple and can be cancelled in your Apple ID settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise deletion directly in the app, or contact us for any other request.

Children

Skinsei is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. The onboarding age question exists to tailor guidance for adults and teenagers using the app with appropriate consent.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
